Imran Khan welcomes SC decision on dissident lawmakers
Urges top court to hear cases against Sharif family
Imran Khan addresses Kohat rally as PTI gears up for long march on Islamabad against government
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairperson Imran Khan hailed the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s ruling on dissident lawmakers while addressing a public gathering in Kohat on Tuesday as the party gears up for Haqeeqi Azadi March (real freedom march) on Islamabad against the coalition government.
“Thankfully, the Supreme Court has rejected votes cast by the turncoats who sell their vote and betray their constituents and democracy,” he said and urged the top court to hear cases against the Sharif family on daily bases.
The PTI chief said Supreme Court has saved “Pakistan’s values from falling” in front of the world.
He further added that the top court should hear “corruption cases in which Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his family are involved” as the incumbent government had “destroyed the Federal Investigation Agency” (FIA).
The former prime minister once again reiterated that the former FIA director, Dr Mohammad Rizwan, died due to a heart attack, and another official who was probing their corruption cases also suffered a heart attack due to the “corrupt” leaders.
“Supreme Court judges, it is your responsibility to hear their cases,” he added.
The PTI chief said if the Sharif family and others get the National Reconciliation Ordinance, then “no one will fear looting the country and dacoits will rule”.
He said the government has been living under “great fear now” as they have fallen into a trap because “a tiger is behind them and the ocean is in front”.
“He [Shehbaz Sharif] desperately wanted to become the prime minister as he never came into power before unlike Nawaz Sharif,” he said.
